Saturday Long Run Reeeeeport
It was a beautiful day. I forgot how much I like running in the morning before anyone is even up and around. Miles 12 - 14 were teh suxor. Probably because I was back on the walkway (Thankfully it started raining a bit, that was nice).
Note: Since as far as I know, my brother is the only person that reads this regularly, the following route description will only make sense to him (I doubt it will even make sense to him).
My route went 1/4 mile down walkway, down Maple Avenue past the school, past Lezzers, back down the walkway, 1 lap around the high school track (Can you tell I was just wingin it and running wherever my feet took me?) (At this point I was a bit distracted by the police and firemen extracting a car from being wrapped around a traffic signal pole after it had caught fire...rubberneck) Up past the Harley Shop past the old green house, down past Kohlepps and out to the sewage treatment plant (Hi-dee-ho Coach! I'm giving it 110%! (He'd be proud)). Over the train tracks and 1 lap around Triangle Tech's parking lot. I backtracked all the way back to Kohlepps and then went down past the YMCA and back to the walkway. 1 Lap on the walkway and I was done. Here is a link to the route: Gmap
Consumed (1) Power Bar (Chocolate Peanut Crunch - quite good) and (1) Clif Bar (Oatmeal Raisin - YUM!) Approx 20 oz of Gatorade and 20 oz of water.
AT felt ok. Still not feeling great but at least I can run. After I got back I took a 20 minute ice bath. WOOHOO fun. Actually it wasn't as bad as it was scary at first. After the 1st minute everything goes numb. It seersly helps with the sore legs.
